The cotton is lined in cotton with beaded waistbands and embroidered sleeve hems, the kind of handcraft detail you feel the moment you hold the dress. Ramie is one of the oldest textile fibers in human history, cultivated in East Asia for thousands of years, stronger than cotton, naturally cool to the touch, resistant to bacteria and odor, and it gets softer with every wash. Most women in the United States have never worn it. This collection is an introduction.
