Shipping Policy

At DIVA THEA, we aim to provide a reliable delivery experience, whether your order is traveling within the United States or internationally. Please review our shipping terms before completing your purchase.

Order Processing

Standard Orders: Orders are processed within 1–2 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. holidays) after payment is confirmed. We strive to dispatch orders within 24 hours whenever possible.

Pre-Orders: Estimated shipping dates are displayed on the applicable product pages. These dates are projections and may change. We will notify you of significant delays.

Changes and Cancellations: You may request a cancellation within 24 hours of placing your order by contacting DIVA THEA through our website contact form. If your order has not yet been dispatched, we will cancel it and issue a refund.

Because we strive to dispatch orders promptly, your package may already be in transit when we receive your request. If this happens, please contact us immediately so our team can review the available options with you individually. Cancellation of an order already dispatched cannot be guaranteed.

Complimentary Standard Shipping

DIVA THEA offers complimentary standard shipping to the United States and our international shipping destinations.

Estimated delivery times, including order processing, are:

Destination Estimated delivery
United States 3–5 business days
International destinations 5–7 business days

Delivery estimates apply to standard shipping and exclude U.S. holidays. Actual delivery dates may be affected by carrier disruptions, customs inspections, weather conditions, or other circumstances outside our control.

Expedited Shipping: Two-day and next-day shipping options are available for eligible destinations at checkout. These services are not included in complimentary standard shipping.

International Orders: Duties and Taxes

DIVA THEA includes applicable import duties and taxes in the purchase price for customers in the following destinations:

  • United Kingdom

  • Canada

  • Australia

  • European Union: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal

For these destinations, the price displayed at checkout already includes applicable import duties and taxes. You should not be asked to pay these charges again when your package arrives.

Understanding International Import Charges

When you purchase clothing from another country, your government may charge fees for bringing those items across its border. These charges are separate from the cost of shipping.

Here is what each charge means, who collects it, and where the money goes.

Customs Duties (Import Tariffs)

Customs duties are taxes imposed by your country's government on certain imported products. The amount depends on what you purchased, where the product was manufactured, and its declared value.

Customs authorities collect these duties, either directly or through the shipping carrier. The money goes to the government of the country receiving the package.

Import Taxes (VAT or GST)

Many countries also charge a consumption tax on imported goods. In the United Kingdom and European Union, this is generally called Value Added Tax (VAT). In Australia and Canada, it is called Goods and Services Tax (GST), although additional provincial or other taxes may apply in Canada.

These taxes are collected by the relevant tax or customs authorities, sometimes through the seller or shipping carrier, and are paid to the destination country's government.

Customs Clearance and Carrier Fees

Shipping companies such as DHL, UPS, and FedEx may charge a separate fee for preparing customs paperwork, advancing payments to customs, or processing an international shipment.

Unlike duties and taxes, these are service fees charged by the shipping company. The money goes to the carrier, not the government.

What Does DIVA THEA Cover?

For the destinations listed above, DIVA THEA includes applicable import duties and taxes in your purchase price so you can see the cost before placing your order.

Complimentary standard shipping is also included.

Customs clearance or administrative fees, if separately assessed by a carrier, are different from government duties and taxes and may require individual review.

What if a Carrier Requests an Additional Payment?

Occasionally, a shipping carrier may request a customs payment even when duties and taxes were already included in your purchase.

If this happens:

  1. Contact DIVA THEA before paying whenever possible. We can help determine whether the charge is correct.

  2. Provide your order number and a copy of the carrier's payment request. A screenshot, invoice, or email showing the amount and reason for the charge is sufficient.

  3. If you have already paid, contact us within seven calendar days of receiving the charge. Include your payment receipt.

We will review the documentation and investigate the charge with the appropriate provider. If the charge was incorrectly collected, we will assist with the applicable correction or reimbursement process.

Our goal is to ensure that customers are not charged twice for duties or taxes already included in their purchase.
