  • Seven Scorpions: These are not just decorative; they directly reference a myth from the "Metternich Stela", where Isis is guarded by seven divine scorpions—Tefen, Befen, Mestet, Mestetef, Petet, Thetet, and Matet—as she travels in disguise to protect her son, Horus. Each scorpion represents divine guardianship, loyalty, and fierce protection, acting as sentinels for the goddess. One even sacrifices itself in the story to avenge an insult to Isis, emphasizing themes of loyalty, maternal strength, and justice.
