The skirt is cut in three tiers from a defined waistband. Each tier falls with enough volume to allow full movement without adding bulk to the silhouette. The waistband and straps carry the embroidery central to the Oshun collection: cowrie shells, sunflowers, and geometric motifs derived from documented Yoruba iconography.
Side pockets are included, functional and cut to sit flush without distorting the drape of the skirt.

Linen and cotton complement each other in this blend. The linen provides structure and breathability; the cotton softens the hand and reduces the tendency of pure linen to crease heavily through the day. The blend is fluid without being limp, and it holds the tiered silhouette without stiffening.

Oshun is a Yoruba Orisha who governs rivers, love, beauty, and abundance within Yoruba religion and its living Afro-diasporic traditions, including Candomblé, Santería, and Lucumí. Her symbols are specific and documented: the sunflower that follows light, the cowrie shell once used as currency, the vulture that sees across distance, the mirror that turns the gaze inward. Those are the motifs woven into the embroidery on this dress, an original design Diva Thea developed in-house.
